The assistants are expected to work on an NSF project “Model-Directed Hybridization: Principled Design of Hybrids of Model Building, Metaheuristics and More Traditional Optimization Techniques”. The goal of this project is to develop, enhance, analyze and apply hybrids of estimation of distribution algorithms and more traditional optimization techniques.
